Parking in Adelaide can be tricky, but there are car parks for every occasion. If you’re looking to park by the month or hourly rate and are unsure which one is best suited, just read below to understand the best one for you.
MYERS MALL:
The Myer Centre car park is a fantastic option for those who need to visit the CBD. Offering 467 spaces, early bird parking before 9:30 am Monday through Saturday, and 11:30 am Sundays, it’s easy breezy when you’re shopping or visiting friends in central Adelaide! This prime spot provides enough room not just for your vehicle but also if someone else parks next door (or across) so that everyone has plenty of extra space. At the same time, they shop together without clogging up any narrow aisle ways like what sometimes happens during rush hour. They also have a special offer for night parking, bike storage and shower facilities. But beware not to lose your parking ticket as that can cost you a whole lot more.
ON-STREET PARKING:
There are always free time limits spaces; however, they only last for 9 minutes! Suppose you’re looking for something faster than this. In that case, there may be three thousand paid ticket placements, in which case prices vary depending on zone restrictions- with some costing more than others, so it pays off knowing what type suits your needs better before purchasing one though sometimes these cost less if bought at peak times because demand exceeds supply temporarily. In contrast, reserves rise again after a temporary dip.
OFF-STREET PARKING
The City of Adelaide owns and operates the UPark off-street car parks. With nine locations throughout the city, you’ll never have trouble finding a convenient parking space for your vehicle – unless it’s one of those crazy weekend days when everything is closed!
RUNDEL PLACE CAR PARK:
The Rundle Place car park is an excellent option for visitors who don’t want to search through the crowded streets of Adelaide. You can easily find parking on this multi-storey structure, which offers 500 spaces! Early bird specials make it affordable as well- book your spot before 9:30 am and exit between 3:30 pm or 7:30 pm (depending on if weekends are included)
To access this facility, head south down Grenfell Street from North Terrace; you’ll know that it’s time when turning onto Carlisle Street because there will be an entrance signposted ‘Rundle Plaza Parking’.
RAMPLE CAR PARK:
For a cheaper option that’s still near the city centre, it’s worth considering the Ramble Car Park on Grote Street. There are Three hundred and sixty-five spaces available and early-bird specials mean you can leave after 6:00 pm (7:30 pm over weekends). Access this car park via King William Road, and it’s just a short walk to Rundle Mall.
Car parking in Adelaide is expensive, and you always will find a cheaper place if you know where to look. The above options are sure to help you save money.
